The advantages of stainless steel precision casting

Stainless steel precision casting is a casting process with little or no cutting, which is widely used. It is not only suitable for casting various types and alloys, but also produces castings with higher dimensional accuracy and surface quality than other casting methods. Complex, high-temperature resistant, and difficult to process castings that cannot be cast by other casting methods can be cast using this method.

The main advantage of stainless steel precision casting is that due to the high dimensional accuracy and surface smoothness of the castings, it can reduce mechanical processing work. Only a small amount of machining allowance can be left in the parts with higher requirements on the workpiece. Some castings may only have grinding and polishing allowance left, and can be used without mechanical processing. From this, it can be seen that using this casting method can greatly save machine equipment and labor, and significantly save metal raw materials.

Another advantage of stainless steel precision casting is that it can cast complex castings of various alloys and high-temperature alloy castings. Like the blades of a jet engine, their streamlined outer profile and cooling inner cavity cannot be formed by mechanical processing technology. By using this casting process, not only can mass production be achieved, ensuring the consistency of castings, but also avoiding stress concentration caused by residual tool lines after mechanical processing.
