Outstanding Performance Of Silica Sol Precision Casting

Silicon sol precision casting is not only suitable for casting various types and alloys, but also produces castings with much higher dimensional accuracy and surface quality than other casting methods using this technology. Even castings that are difficult to cast using other casting methods are complex, difficult to process, and resistant to high temperatures. If we want to produce products with relatively simple shapes, small sizes, and high dimensional accuracy requirements, we can first choose profiles or use cast carbon steel for processing. The advantage of using steel molds is that the material price is cheap, but the disadvantage is that the molds are heavy and have certain requirements for processing tools.


Some manual operations are quite difficult, such as complex shapes, high precision requirements, and large product sizes.
The interlayer drying time of silica sol precision casting is further shortened, but in order to improve the interlayer drying time of silica sol, it can be effectively shortened to 1 hour. The shell making environment, especially wind speed, has very strict requirements. For castings with slender holes, the interlayer drying time can be appropriately extended.


Silica sol precision casting has good surface quality, high high-temperature strength, good thermal shock stability, and strong resistance to high-temperature deformation. Silica sol precision casting is a casting process with little or no cutting, and these products are advanced casting technologies in the casting industry.


The size of silica sol precision casting is not very large, and the requirements for its accuracy are not very high. However, aluminum frame tin bismuth can be considered as a mold during use, and the weight of this mold is relatively heavy, mainly because it contains bismuth.
For complex molds of silica sol precision casting, the manufacturing time is relatively short, which to some extent saves processing costs. For complex thin-walled castings, in order to effectively improve the breathability of the product shell, exhaust holes can be set up if possible.


Silicon sol precision casting can set up a reasonable pouring system, which effectively prevents the entrainment of pouring air to a certain extent, and is more conducive to the discharge of air inside the mold cavity. And during the manufacturing process, the pouring temperature can be appropriately increased to minimize the distance between the pouring bag nozzle and the pouring cup.
